What is Commonweal’s position on the never-ending controversy between New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and the Brooklyn Museum of Art over the allegedly obscene and perhaps anti-Catholic paintings in the museum’s "Sensation" exhibit? The editor has released the following statement: "New Yorkers know dung when they see it, and they’re not going to pay for it when they can get it for free."
