It's not easy to keep track of the Euro crisis and whether or not it can be resolved. Here is an article in Foreign Affairs arguing, "Why Only Germany Can Fix the Euro." The authors hit upon a paradox rising out of German history and that nation's resolve never to repeat the inflation that destroyed the Weimar Republic in the 1920s and led to the rise of the Nazis regime. Did Germany learn (or mislearn) that lesson too well? Unlike a lot of comments on the issue, this article is clear and straightforward.
